For class next week you will be doing a presentation on who you think passes through a particular MTR station based on the ADVERTISEMENTS you see inside the station.
First Rule: The station needs to be a stand alone station and not serve as a junction between train lines.
Second Rule: Your presentation will include the following information: 1. A demographic and possibly psychographic description of the people who come through the station. 2. The proof of your hypothesis in the form of pictures of posters and other advertisements within the station. 3. A detailed description of how three of these advertisements connect with your hypothesized audience.
Third Rule: Your presentation should be at least 5 minutes long but not be more than 10 minutes long.
Fourth Rule: All group members need to participate in the presentation.
Fifth Rule: There is no exactly right answer for this exercise. You are HYPOTHESIZING from what you can see in the advertisements. Use the AIM structure to help you understand who advertisers think are walking through the station.
Here are the groups so far and the stations they are analyzing (each group analyzes a different station):
Sham Shui Po - Yoyo Leung, Belle Lao, Dawn Kwan, Bill Chan
Shek Kip Mei - Gloria Wong, Ada Lee, Creamo Fung
Ngau Tau Kok - Hoyan Ho, Shadow Tse, Waiting Ip, Yuen Yuen
Tung Chung - Gloria Cheung, Yuka Lai, KaiYan Cheung, Kayu Yip
Causeway Bay - CHAN Hei Ting, YEUNG Sin Ying, HO Wai Man, LAM Kit Ying
( be careful because this is a really big station, you should focus on one exit and the pathway leading to it)
Kowloon Bay - YE Yingchan, CHEN Feng, GU Xin
Choi Hung - LI Man Yee, WU Wai Lam, LI Kar Man
Lok Fu - Lucas Ng, LEE Juhyun, Jake Masin, Alba Batista
Wong Tai Sin - Lily Cheng, Sinde Cheung, Isaac Chong, Apple Ng, Xearo Suen
Tsuen Wan - John Wong, Koey Lee, Chimi Chong, Yu Ng
There are 4 people who are not in groups and/or who have not told me what station they are going to study. Please do this as soon as possible.
